【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtobeusedfordeterminingtheconsistencyanddensityofstiffplastictoextremelydryconcretemixturescommonwhenusingroller-compactedconcreteconstruction.5.1.1Becauseofthestifftoextremelydryconsistencyofsomeroller-compactedconcretemixtures,thestandardVebetestmethodofroddingthespecimeninaslumpconeissubstitutedbyProceduresAandB.8ProcedureAusesa50-lb(22.7-kg)surchargeandisusedforconcreteconsolidatedbyroller-compactionmethodswhentheconsistencyoftheconcreteisstifftoextremelydry.ProcedureBusesa27.5-lb(12.5-kg)surchargeandisusedforconcreteconsolidatedbyroller-compactionmethodswhentheconsistencyoftheconcreteisstiffplastictoverystiffconsistency,butnotextremelydry.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheconsistencyofconcreteusingavibratingtableandasurchargeandtodeterminethedensityoftheconsolidatedconcretespecimen.Thistestmethodisapplicabletofreshlymixedconcrete,preparedinboththelaboratoryandthefield,havinganominalmaximumsizeaggregateof2in.(50mm)orless.Ifthenominalmaximumsizeofaggregateislargerthan2in.(50mm),thetestmethodisapplicableonlywhenperformedonthefractionpassingthe2-in.(50-mm)sievewiththelargeraggregatebeingremovedinaccordancewithPracticeC172.1.2Thistestmethod,intendedforuseintestingroller-compactedconcrete,maybeapplicabletotestingothertypesofconcretesuchascement-treatedaggregateandmixturessimilartosoil-cement.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(Warning-Freshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)
