【摘要】:Thispracticemaybeappliedwhentristimuluscolorimetersareusedtomeasurethecolorsproducedonself-luminousvideodisplaydevicessuchasCRTsandflat-paneldisplays,includingelectroluminescent(EL)panels,fieldemissiondisplays(FEDs),andback-litliquidcrystaldisplays(LCDs).Thispracticeisnotmeanttobeacompletedescriptionofaproceduretomeasurethecolorcoordinatesofadisplay.Rather,itprovidesamethodforobtainingmoreaccurateresultswhencertainconditionsaremet.Itmaybeusedbyanypersonengagedinthemeasurementofcolorondisplaydeviceswhohasaccesstotherequisiteequipment.Thispracticedefinesaclassoftristimuluscolorimetersthatmaybesaidtobecompatiblewiththispractice.1.1Thispracticeisintendedasanaidforimprovingtheaccuracyofcolorimetricmeasurementsmadewithtristimuluscolorimetersonvisualdisplayunits,suchascathoderaytubes(CRTs)andself-luminousflat-paneldisplays.Itexplainsausefulstepintheanalysisofcolorimetricdatathattakesadvantageofthefactthatlightfromsuchdisplaysconsistsofanadditivemixtureofthreeprimarycoloredlights.However,itisnotacompletespecificationofhowsuchmeasurementsshouldbemade.1.2Thispracticeislimitedtodisplaydevicesandcolorimetricinstrumentsthatmeetlinearitycriteriaasdefinedinthepractice.Itisnotconcernedwitheffectsthatmightcausemeasurementbiassuchastemporalorgeometricdifferencesbetweentheinstrumentbeingoptimizedandtheinstrumentusedforreference.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
