【摘要】:Thestrengthandmodulusofrigidityofstructuralpanelsinshearthrough-the-thicknessobtainedbythesetestmethodsarerequiredfortherigorousdesignofmanylumber-panelstructuralcomponentssuchastrusseswithpanelgussets,boxbeams,foldedplateroofs,andspaceplanestructures,aswellasfloorandroofdiaphragms,andshearwalls.Thesepropertiesareofsecondaryimportanceintypicalroofdeckandsheathingapplications,andincratesandshippingcontainers.Veneerproducedbyslicingorrotarypeelingmaycontainfinechecksorseparationsparalleltothegrainontheknifesideoftheveneerthatareproducedastheknifeisforcedthroughthewood.Thesechecksaretermedx201C;knifechecksx201D;todistinguishthemfromoccasionalchecksthatmaybeformedontheoppositesideoftheveneerbyforcesatthecompressionbar,andfromcheckscausedbydrying.Averagedepthofknifecheckshasbeenfoundtostronglyinfluenceshearpropertiesinplywoodpanelsandmaybeofsignificanceinveneerincorporatedincompositepanels.Measurementofdepthofknifechecksisrecommendedinthesetestmethods.Tocontrolordefineothervariablesinfluencingshearproperties,thesetestmethodsrequiredeterminationofmoisturecontentandelapsedtimetofailure.Theconditioningoftestmaterialincontrolledatmosphereanddeterminationofspecificgravityarerecommended.1.1Thesetestmethodsdeterminetheshearthrough-the-thicknesspropertiesofstructuralpanelsassociatedwithsheardistortionofthemajoraxis.Structuralpanelsinuseincludeplywood,waferboard,orientedstrandboard,andcompositesofveneerandofwoodbasedlayers.Threetestmethodsareincludedwhichdiffersomewhatintheirapplication:TestMethodSectionA.SmallPanelShearTest5B.LargePanelShearTest6C.TwoRailShearTest7
