【摘要】:Thistestmethodforfiretestscoversmarinejoinerdoorassembliesofvariousmaterialsandtypesofconstructionforuseinbulkheadopeningstoretardthepassageoffire.Testsmadeinconformitywiththistestmethodwillregisterperformanceduringthetestexposure;butsuchtestsshallnotbeconstruedasdeterminingsuitabilityforuseafterexposuretofire.Testsmadeinconformitywiththistestmethodwilldevelopasetofdatatoassistregulatoryagenciestodeterminethesuitabilityofjoinerdoorassembliesforuseinlocationswherefireresistanceisrequired.Thistestmethodshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthispracticemaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentthattakesintoaccountallofthefactorsthatarepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
